Ah! Hi friends. I'm in Guatemala and loving every second of it! I had some down time so I thought I'd update you all!
So we left XNA for Guatemala City around 6:30am Monday morning and arrived around noon Guate time. Our team spent the day packing our small bags and preparing for our split. We divided into groups of 4, so I am currently in Xela, Guatemala. Xela is The second largest city in Guatemala and is 3ish hours away from Guatemala City. In Xela I am working at the Inter-American school. This week we made a curb for their drive way, and painted bathrooms in the bible school. The physical labor isn't fabulous but the relationships that have been built make it totally worth it. I've spent a lot of time practicing my Spanish, and finding that my fluency is beyond my expectations. Tomorrow we get to spend our day visiting and praying over a local women's shelter. Our plan is to leave Saturday to head back to Guatemala City, however they are expecting political riots to start Saturday morning so it may put a delay to our departure. Prayers for all to be well here in Xela.
Current prayer requests: Team/spiritual unity, safe travels as we head back to Guate on Saturday, and stable health conditions.
The lord is working here. He deserves all the praise forever and ever.
